Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated individual to add to our food service team as a Dishwasher. This position works 9:45am-1:30pm, Mon-Fri, student days only, approximately 18.75 hours per week.

Responsibilities

·         Wash and sanitize plates, utensils, pots, pans and trays.

·         Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, counters and floors.

·         Assist with garbage removal and recycling breakup.

·         Help serve meals or stock cafeteria lines when needed.

·         Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, work areas, and serving spaces

·         Support meal service and interact positively with students and staff

·         Follow all health department and school district regulations

·         General kitchen tasks as assigned by the kitchen supervisor and food service director.

Qualifications

·         High school diploma or equivalent is required.

·         Must be ServSafe certified; or obtain ServSafe certification within 90 days of hire

·         Must have a good attendance record.

·         Must possess good decision-making skills.

·         Must be flexible in work assignments.

·         Must have experience in kitchen safety and sanitation.

·         Must have a commitment to working as a team to achieve goals.

·         Must demonstrate sociability and warmth in attitude toward students, other employees, and the supervisor.

·         Must have a moderate level of math skills and be able to operate computerized machines if called upon.

·         Must pass background checks and comply with state and district requirements for working with students.

 

Physical Requirements

·         Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move about the building and campus to assist students.

·         May require and employee to lift and/or move heavy objects (up to 50lbs).

·         May require an employee to stand for extended periods of time.
