COJE Management Group is seeking an experienced and driven Executive Pastry Chef to join our team! This role supports the Corporate Pastry Chef in overseeing production, team leadership, quality control, and daily operations while maintaining the highest standards of creativity, consistency and execution.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, efficient in high volume production, and passionate about developing exceptional desserts, pastries, breads, and plated sweets in a fast-paced culinary environment.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in managing daily pastry kitchen operations and production
  • Oversee preparation and execution of desserts, pastries, breads, viennoiserie, ice creams, and plated desserts
  • Ensure consistency, quality, presentation, and recipe standards are maintained
  • Supervise, train, and mentor pastry cooks and junior team members
  • Assist with scheduling, delegation, and workflow management
  • Support seasonal menu development, tastings, and special event production
  • Monitor inventory, ordering, waste control, and food costs
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Help drive efficiency, teamwork, and a positive kitchen culture
  • Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Pastry Chef

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 3+ years of pastry leadership experience in a hotel, restaurant, bakery, or high-volume production environment
  • Strong knowledge of pastry production, baking techniques, plated desserts
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Culinary or pastry degree preferred but not required with equivalent experience
