Dishwasher & Prep Cook | Shawarma House — Ocean Beach, San Diego

Shawarma House is a busy, locally owned Mediterranean quick-service restaurant in Ocean Beach. We’re looking for a steady, hardworking Dishwasher & Prep Cook who keeps the back of house clean, organized, and ready for service.

What you’ll do

• Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, pans, and kitchen equipment.

• Keep dish, prep, storage, and waste areas clean, safe, and organized throughout the shift.

• Assist the kitchen team with basic food preparation, portioning, stocking, and restocking as directed.

• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures every shift.

• Help with opening, closing, trash/recycling, and other back-of-house tasks that keep service moving.

• Communicate quickly with cooks and front-of-house teammates during busy periods.

What we’re looking for

• At least 1 year of dishwashing, prep, kitchen, or other fast-paced work experience.

• Reliable attendance, urgency, and attention to clean, safe work.

• Comfortable working on your feet in an active kitchen environment.

• A respectful, team-first attitude and willingness to learn.

• Availability for weekday and weekend afternoon or evening shifts.
