Dishwasher ($34.98/hr. – On-Call) – InterContinental San Francisco

This is an on-call position and may be scheduled to work 0-40+ hours per week based on business need.* 

At InterContinental San Francisco, every guest deserves an exceptional experience.  Supporting the Hotel’s restaurant and banquet operations, you’ll be responsible for sorting and cleaning/washing dirty pots, dishes, utensils, and other equipment used in food preparation, presentation, and consumption.  Additionally, you’ll be part of a larger team in charge of keeping our kitchens and heart of house areas sparkling clean!

What You’ll Do

Each day is different but mostly you’ll be:

• washing plates, glasses, silver and other wares. 
• coordinating the movement of clean and dirty wares
• maintaining overall cleanliness of food & beverage spaces.

What We’re Looking For

Experience – a  minimum of one year in the same or similar role.

Endurance – the ability to perform a physically active role, spending most of the day on your feet.

Strong – sometimes you’ll need to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs. This can involve bending and kneeling. 

Literate – you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing and basic math. 

Flexible – night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job. 

Compliant – meet local laws on food handling.

Articulate – a great communicator, you’ll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to.

The hourly pay range for this role is $26.235 to $34.98.
