Application architect

Title: Application Architect Location: Minnetonka, MN (4 days in office) Job Description We are seeking a hands-on Application Architect with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Cloud, DevSecOps , and Container Orchestration . This role is responsible for designing scalable architectures, leading technical solutions, and supporting enterprise application development in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Architect and design enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JSON . Build and optimize microservices architectures and cloud-native applications. Work with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift for containerization and orchestration. Drive automation and CI/CD using Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps . Implement logging/monitoring using Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK . Collaborate with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure best practices. Troubleshoot L2 issues and support performance, security, and scalability improvements. Required Skills 5 years with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST . 5 years with Docker, Kubernetes . Strong knowledge of OAuth, API development, API Management (Apigee preferred) . Experience with Linux (RHEL), Windows Server, Tomcat, Apache, SQL Server . Scripting expertise: Bash, PowerShell, Python, Perl . Hands-on experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps , cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP). Preferred Qualifications Experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack . Familiarity with TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks. Asset finance / leasing / lending domain exposure. Scaled Agile experience (SAFe).
